Servo & DSP-technology

BL-factor linearization with direct position feedback
Spring-complance linearization with direct position feedback
Individual laser-calibration at the factory ensures pure position data

Servo technology utilizes patent pending "Direct Position Feedback" sensors built inside the loudspeaker.

ASCM

Direct position feedback scheme enables the usage os Active Suspension Compliance Management (ASCM) which is a revolutionary technology in small loudspeakers. With ASCM, the cumulative spectral decay is ultrafast (free of resonances) and the speaker can reproduce several octaves lower than conventional closed or bass-reflex systems without bass-lag. The distortion characteristics can also be controlled with Digital Signal Processor (DSP), that operates the ASCM and feedback system.

Every Servo 299L speaker is measured and validated at the factory to verify flawless construction

The digital cross over has superior efficiency
Transient capabilities are unmatched in DSP-waveform correction

DSP

The digital signal processor can also give supreme cross-overs and frequency response of the speaker. With added complexity, the Servo 299s also correct the time domain step-response with ultra-high order waveform correctors.

Current Feedback

Current feedback is a efficient way of cone parameter linearization. It also enables the direct access to the force content of the voice coil-magnet system more efficiently than voltage driving amplifiers. With current feedback, the driver outputs less Intermodulation-Distortion (IM), which is audibly much worse than Harmonic Distortion. Current feedback relieves the system of thermal dependencies of varying electrical load and position dependency of coil inductance.

Room response without Anti-Mode
Room response with Anti-Mode correction

Room correction

One of the most important and overlooked application of active loudspeakers is room correction. The DSP enables the loudspeaker to Self-Calibrate to any room and configuration. Servo 299s use highly acclaimed ANTI-MODE technology which not only flattens power-response but also addressess modal ringing times of the room by anti-phasing sound.

Diffraction lens with DXT-technology offers the optimal power distribution

DXT lens

The DXT lens in Servo 299s delivers fix to known problems like baffle diffraction and off-axis response. It will give the speaker acoustically superios character to ordinary listening conditions (compared to speakers designed for studio conditions). The response character is almost constant in waveform for +/- 30 degrees of horizontal and vertical angle.
